Help, answers, and how to reach a human
What is 720nm for?
720nm edits photos from infrared-converted or IR-filtered cameras. If your shots come out with a strong red/magenta cast, a bright center "hot spot," and flat contrast, this app is built for exactly that.
How do I get the classic "blue sky" IR look?
Open a photo and tap Channel Swap. That performs the standard red/blue swap. From there, set white balance by tapping a patch of foliage, and fine-tune with the channel mixer if you want more control.
What is hot-spot correction?
Many IR lenses produce a bright blob in the center of the frame. Tap Hot-spot → Auto to reduce it automatically, then use the brush to clean up any residue. On iPad you can use Apple Pencil for precise touch-up.
Can I open RAW files?
Yes — 720nm opens RAW captures. You can export to JPEG, 10-bit HEIC, or 16-bit TIFF. For a lossless hand-off to a desktop editor, choose TIFF (16-bit).
Will editing damage my original photo?
No. Every edit is stored as a non-destructive stack of parameters. Your original pixels are never altered — a new file is only written when you export, and your originals stay untouched in your library.
Is there a subscription or in-app purchase?
No. 720nm is a one-time purchase. Every feature is available from the first launch — no trial, no subscription, no per-feature unlocks.
How do I save my edited photo?
Tap Export, pick a format and size, and choose Save to Photos or share it. The app asks only for permission to add the new image to your library.
